Five Minute Friday: Bare

August 2007, I moved. I looked at the bare walls of my new bedroom in Florida...wondering what in the world I was thinking moving away from everything and everyone I knew to a place where I knew no one--but one person. I was overwhelmned. Soon, my room began to fill with furniture, curtains were hung, bookshelf put together, and a room was put together. I smiled thinking this is exactly where God wants me.

I then go to my classroom and look at the walls and wonder again how the Lord was going to use me here at a small Christian school. The months have passed by and now I am in my 6th year of teaching. I have moved to a new house-have moved three times to new classroom...have decorated and prayed over my students as I fill the walls with posters, alphabet cards, numbers, and pictures.

I then smile and am thankful that the Lord sent me to that empty room that soon filled with smiles and to an empty classroom where through the years I have touched over 100 students hearts and lives.
