Five Minute Friday: What Mama Did

This is my mom. My mom grew up on a farm in northern Indiana. She met my dad who is a southern boy, fell in love, got married, and seven years later I came along. Yes, I am now taller than my mom, even without high-heels. I had the best mom ever. My mom homeschooled me from K-4 to 4th grade. She taught me how to read, write, spell, arithmatic, and the Bible. She taught me how to do puzzles. Dressed me up in pretty dresses....big bows in my hair.

The biggest thing I remember about my mom are her "mommy marks." A "mommy mark" was when she would put her lipstick on then kiss the top of my hand...I would have the print of her lips on my hand. I loved my mommy marks growing up and miss them at times. I remember I wouldn't want to wash it off.

She gave me a love for the kitchen, although she hardly let me cook in hers...because I made such a mess....but she would let me watch.

I LOVE MY MOM!
